Ticketmaster Resale

Just click the Sell button on your order in My Account to start the easy step-by-step: you'll select only the tickets you want to list, set your price, and enter your debit card or checking account info.

Desktop step by step guide

You can edit or remove your listing anytime, and you'll get paid by direct deposit or pay-by-debit within 7-10 business days after your tickets sell.

You must have a US bank account to sell tickets for an event in the US.

Not all events or tickets are available for resale. If you don't see a Sell button, selling your tickets though Ticketmaster is not allowed.

Tickets purchased over the phone with Ticketmaster or through a third party are not available for resale through Ticketmaster Fan-to-Fan Resale.

Please Note: Sometimes the minimum price a ticket can be resold for is the face value of the ticket. This may be restricted by the venue, artist or promoter of the event at their own discretion.

Not all events or tickets are available for resale. If you don’t see a “Sell” button, selling your tickets through Ticketmaster is not available. Tickets purchased over the phone with Ticketmaster or through a third party are not available for resale through Ticketmaster. If you don’t see a “Sell” button under your Order Details, selling your tickets through Ticketmaster is not available.

First, find the two deposits (each less than $1) in the checking account you used for your seller profile. These deposits may take 3-5 business days to be made after your tickets sell.

Then sign in to your Ticketmaster account from a desktop or laptop (you can't verify these deposits from a mobile device)

  1. Click Payment Options under Account Settings
  2. Click the Verify Now button under Selling Tickets
  3. Enter the deposits in the boxes
  4. Click "Submit"

You'll get paid in 7-10 business days once your account is verified. And you won’t have to do this again unless your account info changes.

Sign in to your Ticketmaster account and follow these simple steps:

  1. Click Payment Options under Account Settings
  2. Click the Delete button under Selling Tickets
  3. Click the Add Debit Card/Bank Account button under Selling Tickets (If you don't have a US bank account you can't sell tickets)
  4. Choose Checking or Savings
  5. Enter your new account info
  6. Click Submit 

Once your updated account info is verified you'll get paid in 7-10 business days.

Yes, you will be able to get a refund.  See below for more info:

Canceled Events
We will automatically refund your order amount (except UPS fees) to the method of payment used for purchase. All refunds should be received within 7-10 business days after we learn the event is canceled.

Postponed Events
If your event has been postponed and you’re unable to attend the new dates, we will refund unless it is a MLB Fan-to-Fan resale ticket, which are nonrefundable, please Contact Fan Support for assistance.

Right now only tickets bought on our site can be sold on our site - and only for events that include Fan-to-Fan resale tickets. We're working on letting you list for those events no matter where you bought your tickets.

While you can't list season tickets directly from your Ticketmaster account, you can always list season tickets from your Account Manager account, and they'll appear on Ticketmaster (in addition to TicketsNow and the league ticket exchanges) if your team has authorized Fan-to-Fan resale on Ticketmaster too.

Our interactive seat maps will display the resale logo on seats that are being sold by other fans.

If your event doesn't have an interactive map look for the same logo on the top right of the page.

If you cannot exchange your tickets, you may be able to sell them – look for the SELL button located in your ticket order within My Account to see if resale is available. If the sell button does not appear, you can always try to list your tickets for sale on Ticketsnow.com, a Ticketmaster Company.

We can't verify tickets bought from a 3rd party.

The only way to know your tickets are the authentic, is to buy Ticketmaster “Verified Tickets” directly from Ticketmaster or Live Nation, or get them at the venue box office. These tickets will always be 100% authentic.

All other tickets purchased through Ticketmaster should be valid for entry. If a ticket bought on Ticketmaster does not gain you access to your event, please Contact Us and we will refund your tickets, including all fees, on the same card used for purchase.

If your tickets are sold, we will automatically notify you via email. To check on the status of your posted tickets, just log into My Account. You'll receive payment in 7-10 business days.

Remember you'll have to verify 2 small deposits if getting paid by direct deposit.

Absolutely, provided Ticket Transfer and Fan-to-Fan Resale are available for your event. If you see Transfer and Sell buttons on your tickets in My Account, you're good to go even if your tickets aren't ready to print yet.

Remove the listing and use the tickets yourself if you can, or give ‘em to a friend – click the My Tickets button on your order in My Account to see if there’s a Transfer button. Sorry, there are no refunds for unsold tickets.

Edit or remove a listing

  1. Login to My Account and tap on your order to view tickets
  2. Click the “Edit” or “Remove” button
  3. Select the ticket(s) you’d like to Edit or Remove
  4. Review
  5. Complete

This only applies to assigned seats. General Admission (GA) or lawn seats will be sold in any quantity.

If you’re selling 2 tickets, yes – they’ll always be sold as a pair. Beyond that, here’s how it breaks down:

3 tickets – sold as 1 or 3
4 tickets – sold as 2 or 4
5 tickets – sold as 1, 2, 3, or 5
6 tickets – sold as 2, 4, or 6
7 tickets – sold as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7
8 tickets – sold as 2, 4, 6, or 8

If you post 9 or more tickets, they can be sold in any amount.

Creating a listing to sell your tickets is always free. However, when your tickets are sold, a service fee is collected from the total selling price of your tickets. During the setup process you’ll be able to view all of the details before finalizing your ticket listing.

Did you purchase tickets, but now see better seats available? We can help! If you see seats you prefer that are the same price or higher for your event, call 800-653-8000 to exchange the ones you have. One exchange per person, per event at participating venues. It’s our Fan Guarantee!

A few things to note – we are unable to exchange tickets for any events that are:

  • Less than 7 days away
  • Resale tickets, VIP, Platinum, and other premium tickets
  • Tickets purchased with additional items or bundled products, such as merchandise
  • Tickets that are later discounted
  • Tickets for non-participating venues (and artists, teams, etc.) that have a “no refunds or exchanges” policy
  • Exchanges for tickets of lesser value are not allowed

For ticket insurance refunds, please contact the insurance provider.

If the event is close and you can't make it, we'll do everything we can to help, just contact us!

Can’t make it? The decision to issue refunds for rescheduled events is up to the artist, team, venue, or promoter, but maybe we can help - Contact Fan Support.

You might be able to get a self-service refund. Go to My Account on your computer (it won’t work on the app) and look for a Refund button on your order. No button? Contact Fan Support.

Unfortunately, refunds are not available for Fan-to-Fan Resale tickets for rescheduled events. The good news is you can sell your tickets straight from My Account.

If you purchased tickets online or over the phone, we will let you know the event is canceled and automatically refund your order amount (except UPS fees) to the credit card used to complete your purchase. All refunds should be received within 7-10 business days after we learn the event is canceled.

Please note: postponed or rescheduled events are handled differently.

If you purchased over the phone, orders will not automatically appear in your account. You can still search for your order using the phone and credit card numbers used for purchase (option not available on a mobile device). 

Go to the "View All Orders" section in your account to find the search option. See example HERE. You will be able to view your order info and print a receipt; however, you will not be able to print tickets.

If the event happened more than 90 days ago or if you purchased over the phone over 90 days ago, please Contact Fan Support.

If you purchased Fan-to-Fan Resale tickets it may take up to 24 hrs for your order to appear in your account. If it has been more than 24 hours since your order was placed, please Contact Us for additional information.

Sometimes delivery delays are used to prevent tickets from being shipped or printed at home until we can confirm everyone has adhered to the event ticket limit. In other words, we want to make sure absolutely no one has ordered more tickets than their fair share!

Your ready to print date is in your purchase confirmation email, on your order in My Account (full website only) and the event page. If for some reason you still can’t print after that date, or you haven’t received your tickets two days before the event, please Contact Fan Support.

  1. Head to the Order History in your account from your computer or tablet
  2. Click the Order Details link
  3. Click the More Options button and pick the delivery option you want

First download the free app!

  • Tap the menu icon on the top left, then My Concert Tickets. You’ll get a sign in prompt if you haven’t already.
  • Tap the event you are attentending and then tap on My Tickets at the bottom
  • Tap the first ticket to display the QR code that will be scanned at the door. Swipe to show the attendant the rest of the tickets on the order.
  • If your tickets aren't available for mobile entry a "This is not your ticket" message along with the available delivery method will be displayed.

  • Click the Request Accessible Tickets button on your event on Livenation.com

Tickets can't be printed from our app. Please use the browser on your desktop, laptop or mobile device.

If you chose Print-at-Home as your delivery method:

  1. Go to My Account on a computer or laptop (no mobile devices).
  2. Sign in with the same email used for purchase.
  3. Click your order and look for the "View Tickets" button. Click HERE to view an example.
  4. You will need Adobe Reader to print your tickets. Download it HERE.

Note: If you bought your tickets over the phone you will not be able to print tickets from your account. Please review the link below.

Tickets may or may not be eligible for refunds. If the event provider is participating in our Fan Guarantee, your tickets are fully refundable for three days after you purchase them, and up until one week before the event.* See participating venues and teams.

If your event is not eligible for a refund, you can always try to list your tickets for sale through Ticketmaster or repost your tickets for sale on Ticketsnow.com, a Ticketmaster Company.

*Exceptions include VIP, Platinum and other premium tickets, tickets purchased through resale, tickets purchased with additional related items or bundled products, tickets subsequently offered at a discount, and tickets for participating teams' away games.

How to request a Refund in My Account

  1. Sign into My Account and select your order to view your tickets
  2. Click the “Refund” button
  3. Select the tickets you’d like to submit a refund for
  4. Review the details and submit
  5. Refunds should be received within 7-10 business days

If your Ticket Order is missing a “Refund” button

  • You may have purchased resale tickets (non-refundable)
  • You bought tickets within the last three days for an event that’s less than a week away
  • The artist, team, or venue is not participating in our Fan Guarantee
  • Any ticket types listed in the Exceptions * above

No. When selling your tickets on Ticketmaster, no form of pre-payment is ever required. Only once your tickets are sold will the service fee be deducted from the total selling price.

If your tickets go unsold, no form of payment/service fee is collected.
